Installation

Our fire alarm installation team has built up a great working relationships with with many clients, including working with building companies, electrical contractors, facility management companies, property development and end users to ensure our fire alarms are delivered on time, to budget and safely. We can carry out all aspects of fire alarm works from small alterations to large networked addressable systems, including graphic interfacing to produce a live display of a building layout. All our fire alarm work is carried out in compliance with the current standards and certificated upon completion. We would always install open protocol equipment (unless specified) as we aim to provide an after service that clients would want to stay with rather than just being tied to with a closed protocol system.

Commissioning

Fire Alarm System Commissioning is defined in BS5839-1 as the process which involves thorough testing of an installed system, to ensure it operates correctly in accordance with the recommendations of the standard and project specification, part of this is often testing interfacing to 3rd party systems such as, gas shut off valves, elevators, automatic dialler units and other safety systems. Our commissioning engineers are able to commission small conventional panels to large addressable systems, providing BAFE certification upon completion. We can offer commissioning as part of a full design and install package or just commissioning of your own installation. It is important during this process to handover the new installation to the client with clear instructions and training to confidently operate the system.

Fire Alarm Maintenance

The Regular maintenance of your fire alarm is essential to make sure the system is operating correctly and will ensure you fulfil your legal obligations under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. JD Fire Alarms can provide a cost effective and compliant solution for you.
We can provide you with routine bi-annual (or quarterly for larger sites) alarm testing & servicing, to ensure that your business remains legally compliant with health and safety measures and, more importantly, continues to keep your business and your staff safe.
We use a CRM system that automatically raises a work order when your service is due and we would then book the visit in at a convenient time with yourselves so you never have to worry about remembering when you service is due.
Our engineers are fully trained and experienced in many types of fire alarm systems and carry a wide selection of parts to repair faults and to ensure equipment is maintained in efficient working order. Upon completion of a service visit we will directly email you a full report and produce a BAFE approved maintenance certificate annually.

24 Hour Call Out

We know false alarms or faults are never limited to 9 -5 hours, that's why we proved a 24 hours 7 days a week call out service, so there's always an engineer on standby if required. We can often assist for free with a vast majority of problems over the phone so there's no need for an out of hours call out.
Some out of hours call outs can be dealt with a temporary repair to save costs at a premium rate, then return the next day to carry out further work if required.
We also understand that not all planned work can be done during normal working hours such as busy call centres or schools so we can often arrange these works to be done during the night, making sure any disruption to your business is kept to a minimum.
